ABOUT THE PROJECT

Deafax's services for deaf people are not only limited to the shores of the United Kingdom. The programmes and projects are spreading to New Zealand, Australia and India, and intends to reach many more countries.

One of Deafax's most successful projects was entitled Deafchild India, a 6-year project which began in 1999.The aim was to improve the communication and literacy skills of deaf children in India, with a particular focus on the southern state of Tamil Nadu.
