What is Deafchild International? De@fchild International is a catalyst for the creation of personal and educational opportunities for deaf and hearing children to communicate with each other throughout the world, by using face to face communication and Information and Communications Technology.

Deafchild International is a part of Deafax's mission to share good practice in the UK between experts in the fields of literacy and total communication. Deafax's experienced deaf and hearing researchers and trainers devise and develop educative programmes which use all aspects of Information and Communications Technology to stimulate an interest by deaf children in literacy and telecommunication, thus encouraging their successful integration in the wider hearing community.
